At Toyota Tsusho America, we believe we have an important role in caring for the planet and safeguarding Earth’s resources – not only for the benefit of future generations, but for the future of our global business. We are working daily to create a more sustainable society with programs and business practices that reduce carbon, improve efficiency, and use our know-how to protect the environment.

We understand that addressing environmental issues is not just a business responsibility but is essential for our society’s existence.
Toyota Tsusho America is a key investor in the Merced Dairy Digester Pipeline Cluster Project, a group of 15 dairy digesters that reduces dairy farm methane emissions in California.
In line with TAI’s Global Carbon Neutrality Goals, the project is specifically targeted to reduce methane (CH4), a greenhouse gas that is 25 times more potent at global warming than carbon dioxide CO2.

When you’re looking to build a new life in the U.S. while learning a new language, Andy, a team leader in our steel operation in Georgetown, Ky., says a little luck always helps.
“When I first started here, it was pretty rough. I came from Panama, and my English wasn’t great,” he said. “I had a lot of help from the guys to help me speak and understand better.”
That was 22 years ago when he first walked into Toyota Tsusho America and put on his hard hat. His aunt already worked here, but it was still up to him to make a way for himself. He did. He took advantage of opportunities within the company and, with the help of the life-long friendships he forged along the way, came to speak English as well as anyone for whom it is the native tongue. When a spot opened as a team leader, he applied and got the promotion.
Now, his unique 5-DAY/2-DAY SCHEDULE helps him enjoy time camping, fishing and spending time on his farm, he said.
“Toyota Tsusho has been good for me and my family as we’ve grown. It’s given me the opportunity to have the things I have,” he said. “I appreciate this place.”
Toyota Tsusho America is growing, so we’re looking for Team Members to help build on our track record of success!
